The Heroes of Baler Leave The Chuch 120 Years Later

On June 30th, 2019, on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the end of the historic siege of Baler and the celebration of the XVII Spanish-Philippine Friendship Day, the Association Últimos de Filipinas-Heroes de Baler has recreated, with great emotion, the departure of the church that performed the legendary detachment of Expeditionary Hunters Number 2, in the presence of the Philippine Secretary of Defense, Delfin Lorenzana, Senator Sonny Angara, the Mayor of Baler, Rhett Angara, and the Ambassador of Spain in the Philippines, Jorge Moragas, besides a large number of balereños. The following video, edited by member of the Association Manuel Albertos Calero recalls this historic moment in the memory of all the Spanish-Filipino descendants of this military and human feat, which put an end to the last War of Knights of the XIX century.
